BeSingular ("we", "us", "our") operates Raincup, an AI-powered relationship management assistant. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our service at getraincup.com ("the Service").

Development Phase — Data Access Disclosure

Raincup is currently in active development. During this phase, user messages, CRM data, and conversation history may be accessed by the development team for audit, debugging, and quality assurance purposes. This access is necessary to improve the service, identify issues, and ensure things work correctly.

If you are not comfortable with the development team having access to your data, you should not use the service at this time. We will update this policy as Raincup moves out of the development phase.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you sign up, we collect:

Your name and email address (via Google OAuth or WhatsApp signup)
Your phone number (if you sign up or connect via WhatsApp)
Your preferred language and timezone settings

CRM Data You Create

All contacts, companies, deals, activities, notes, and relationships you create through Raincup are stored in our database. This is the core data you manage through the Service.

Conversation Data

We store your chat messages with Raincup (both web and WhatsApp) to provide conversation context, enable features like follow-up reminders, and improve the service.

Usage Data

We track basic usage metrics including token usage (for AI processing budget), login timestamps, and feature usage to maintain and improve the Service.

2. How We Use Your Information

To provide the Service — processing your messages, managing your CRM data, sending reminders and rundowns
To authenticate you — via Google OAuth or WhatsApp OTP verification
To communicate with you — service notifications, daily rundowns, onboarding tips
To improve the Service — understanding usage patterns, fixing bugs, developing new features

3. Third-Party Services

Raincup uses the following third-party services to function:

Google OAuth — for web authentication. We receive your name, email, and profile picture from Google. Google's Privacy Policy
Twilio / WhatsApp — for WhatsApp messaging. Your phone number and messages pass through Twilio's infrastructure. Twilio's Privacy Policy

Google Analytics — for website usage analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors interact with our marketing website. This service collects anonymized usage data such as pages visited, session duration, and general location. Google's Privacy Policy

4. Data Storage & Retention

Your data is stored on our servers hosted in the United States. We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your data within 30 days, except where required by law.

5. Cookies & Local Storage

Raincup uses minimal browser storage:

Authentication token — a JWT stored in localStorage to keep you logged in (expires after 7 days)
UI preferences — language and display settings stored in localStorage

Our marketing website (getraincup.com) uses Google Analytics 4, which sets cookies (such as _ga and _ga_*) to distinguish unique visitors and track session information. These cookies are used solely for aggregated website analytics and do not identify you personally. You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

The Raincup application (app.getraincup.com) does not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics cookies.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

Access your personal data
Correct inaccurate data
Delete your account and associated data
Export your CRM data
Opt out of non-essential communications (e.g., onboarding tips)

We implement industry-standard security measures including HTTPS encryption, JWT authentication with token revocation, rate limiting, input sanitization, and tenant data isolation. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.

Raincup is not intended for use by children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
